Taste my unique brand
of after-dinner humour
My after-lunch and after-dinner humour is much in demand. I don`t tell jokes - I reveal some of the hilarious stories from behind the scenes in my 30 or more years in Fleet Street. I tell audiences the bizarre adventures I`ve had involving people like Maggie Thatcher, Princess Diana, John Major, Tony Blair and many more.
The only complaint I`ve had is that some audiences get indigestion through laughing so much!
The Executives Association of Great Britain described my speech at their Christmas luncheon at The Dorchester, pictured on this page, as "hugely entertaining" and "the highlight of a year which has seen some truly outstanding speakers." An audience member wrote later that I was "a class act"and I`m delighted they have invited me back again in 2009 "by popular demand" as they so kindly put it.
Here`s what they said in full the last time:
"Our celebrated Christmas lunch at The Dorchester took place on Thursday, December 13th 2007. The guest speaker, Chris Roycroft-Davis, former executive editor of The Sun, provided some great insights into the world of journalism and delivered a hugely entertaining talk. All in all, this was the highlight of a year which has seen some truly outstanding speakers from the world of business, politics, the arts and media."
- from the website of the Executives Association of Great Britain“Chris`s speech at the Executives Association of Great Britain Christmas luncheon was to say the least a "class act". It was informative, interesting, humorous and completely appropriate to the season as well as the audience. I would not hesitate to recommend Chris as a speaker to anyone holding a similar event. He is a true professional.”
